Rachel first got her start in the music technology space as the Producer and Artist Wrangler of live streaming startup, Liveset, crafting intimate live performances online with artists like The Lumineers, Civil Wars, Ben Kweller, Carolina Chocolate Drops and The Revivalists. She took her learnings over to HUKA Entertainment where she works alongside an incredible marketing team in the company's Festivals division. Aiming to produce world class experiences in unique locations, Huka's festival properties include Pemberton Music FestivalTortuga Music FestivalBuku Music + Art Project and previously, Hangout Music Festival. Her main focus is on digital, spanning through social media (including Facebook Live, Periscope and Snapchat Live Stories), mobile applications, beacon technology, live IMAG programming, and VR. Her current curiosity is in augmented reality and how events might be able to introduce this technology in a meaningful way, as well as how messaging apps and bots might be able to help serve fans from a customer service angle. Her team's ultimate goal is to use these tools, including other technology areas like RFID, to attract and retain fans, collect important data, provide useful information, and create better experiences at events.
